Mila is a cranky hardass, but she wasn't always. Before she was infected, she was still serious, but more mellow, and kind. Her mode of infection traumatized her; in combination with the infection, it made her angry, and different. She spends her days using herself and those who will allow her as subjects for her research, documenting their symptoms, their progression, and their mental states. 

She misses what her life was like before. She'e particularly prone to random fits of crying, and other symptoms of severe depression that she had never seen prior. She flits between wanting the cure, and not wanting it. Her mind has become quite a mess since she was infected and she left Lapis. What would she even do if she went back...?
