The Seashell Soirée - Xanthe

Xanthe had always been at home amongst the waves and the beaches - it was why she made her home on Scallop Beach, after all! The Seashell Soirée was an event that was practically made for the Dextroluma. The tide priestess had taken her time preparing - it wasn’t every day that there was such an excellent excuse to get dressed up in her fanciest beachwear, after all. Perhaps she did dress a little on the fancy side most times, but still. It was going to be the perfect night, she knew that much.

Her bathing suit was a two piece, in a soft teal to match her hair and fins, the perfect contrast against her tanned skin. It was decorated with pearls and shells that she herself had gathered around Scallop Beach - all within the limits placed on taking shells, of course. It was important to Xanthe to abide by those rules. It was for the protection of the beach, after all. What would the beach be if all the shells disappeared? It would have made her incredibly sad. Her cover up was a matching colour, lined with gold, that seemed to flow around her when she moved, seeming to match the watery material of her very fins themselves.

Xanthe had gone as far as shining her scales, as well, when she put on her makeup with a careful hand. It took her some time to be satisfied with her appearance, but she was ready. 

As soon as she entered, she knew it was going to be a night to remember. The decor certainly illustrated just how passionate Queen Anja was about collecting the shells around Aerius. Perhaps, Xanthe thought, she loved them even more than herself. And wasn’t that something to think about! She smiled to herself, sipping her drink. She was going to have to join the dance floor soon and mingle with others… but for the moment, she would simply appreciate the atmosphere and drink in the Seashell Soirée around her.
