Sedna's Decision
Sedna was not following the Aerius politics closely. As a matter of fact, she barely had any interest in it. As long as she was able to go there and meet Rán, she was fine, and nothing else mattered.
She knew the basics about the necrosis, more or less, and what it meant for Dextroluma who had contracted it. She knew that there was a mad royal couple and that their insanity was related to their condition. But she had not expected them to start a war. It was unnecessarily complicating everything, and Sedna worried how it was affecting Rán. She knew the sea witch was not fragile, but she was very clearly stressed about the entire situation. Of course, she noticed the restlessness of her lover, the tenseness, and how easily she was irritated by the tiniest things. It was saddening to see how the simple mention of the war, regardless of whose side was favored, was stirring her up.
Aside from suffering the most backlash from Rán's current temper, Sedna's main concern was that this could speed up the progression of her condition, but of course she would never say that openly. But after another breaking news story almost caused both of them to fight over essentially nothing, Sedna made a decision.
"Heads: Verdant Kingdom. Tails: Corrupted Court," she told Kabauter, a little Cephulu she adopted. He made a happy noise, his attention caught by the shiny gold coin between Sedna's fingers.
She tossed the coin up, and Kabauter immediately darted towards it, catching it before she could.
"You little thief! This isn't yours," she scolded half-heartedly, watching the green creature happily play with his loot. Eventually, he dropped the coin as he became tired. It landed on the side, head-side facing upwards. It was decided.
If Rán's condition was getting worse due to the news of the war, Sedna was going to join the Verdant Kingdom to help to put an end to the fighting.
