Hati's Return

It took a while for the news about the war on Aerius to reach Hati. For once, he was rather old-fashioned, especially when it came to technology. But he also was not particularly interested in that planet. Once he was aware of what happening, though, that changed. Wars were common on Earth and other places, so he had stopped paying attention to these long ago. When he was younger, he had tried to figure out who was in the right and to fight with them. But he had learned the hard way that "right" or "wrong" barely mattered. Not with human wars. But things were fundamentally different with Dextroluma. They were not inherently violent, everyone knew that. Whatever was going on there, it was unusual to say the least. Dextroluma were not inherently violent, unlike humans, everyone knew that. In fact, it surprised him to learn their nations even had a military worth the name.

Now that his curiosity was piqued, he began to look further into the topic. Hati had to admit that what he had initially thought to be a petty family drama had the potential to be much more serious, due to the deadly disease openly spread by one of the involved sides. Of course, he could simply say this was not his problem at all and ignore it. But he had seen often enough how such things tended to escalated further and further. He was grimly convinced that this time, the right thing to do was to offer his aid to the Verdant Kingdom. With that illness, it was surely better to get involved now before he was faced with an even worse situation. It had been a long time since he had been in an active battle, and those times... he had been part of a team. Hati knew he was quite a good fighter, but with a shield, he could only so much on his own. He was not sure if he was going to fit in with the Verdant Kingdom's army.
