Ulrike's Reaction
Ulrike was used to hearing a voice in her head. She called this part Wolf, in accordance to the shape with which they manifested. She wouldn't call herself insane, although she knew others would if they knew. As far as she was concerned, Wolf was a steady companion, but as far as Ulrike could tell, they could not read her thoughts, unless she wanted to talk to them. It was hard to put into words.
Ever since Ulrike learned about the war on Aerius, Wolf refused to shut up.
"We must fight! We must hunt! We must kill!", they insisted.
"Only if we have a reason to", Ulrike reminded them. Her patience was beginning to run out.
Wolf let out a frustrated growl.
"But you'll be pleased to know that the Verdant Kingdom is accepting mercenaries."
She was certain the red cloud shaped like a wolf's skull next to hear changed the shape of the eye socket to mimick a facial expression.
"They do? Yes, good!" Wolf exclaimed. If this... entity? would have been corporeal, Ulrike was certain they'd be running around now, like an excited pup.
Thankfully, Wolf was a lot more sensible and patient when it mattered, but the thirst for bloodshed they displayed every now and then was concerning. It certainly was stronger when the target was someone Wolf did not like, although they never cared to explain how they could form such strong opinions on strangers they never met.
Thankfully they only were annoying about it and not trying to force her to do anything. Like a pup begging for a treat, or playtime. But once they were in a fight, Wolf was a great asset to have. They were patient, and could inform her of details that had slipped her own mind. Ulrike was still not sure if they shared senses of if Wolf had their own, but ultimately, it didn't matter. All that mattered was a successful hunt.
