Evacuation

"Okay, everyone. I know it's hard, but please try to take it slow. Only one at a time on the gangway. When I catch you shoving or pushing, I will leave you here, understood?", C.Hare announced to the crowd of refugees before her. It was clear that she would not be able to take everyone on board, but she would make as many returns as possible. She wasn't the only ship to help evacuating refugees from the shores of the Verdant Kingdom either. It was thankfully an organised endeavour. All the captain had received clear instructions where they should take the people fleeting from the forces of the Blighted Wilds. There were other ships were bigger and better equipped than hers, but she was convinced that any small boat could help, as long as it was seaworthy.

She was also quite relieved that so far, nobody was panicking.

Following her instructions, the passengers entered her ship one by one, most of them trying to carry as many large suitcase as they could. The luggage limited the available space, but thankfully, the situation was not yet so dire that she had to chose people over baggage.

"I'll be back here in two hours!", C.Hare announced as she closed and removed the gangway. 

Her ship moved sluggishly through the gentle waves, taking her passengers to a safer place.
