3) fireplaces

Fireplaces were not particularly useful in Ignis, but Amber wanted to have one anyways. She sometimes wished kipitins could die, because then she could just have saved up and bought one of the transported buildings that were already present in Smoke City.

Kipitins didn’t die, though, and so she was going to have to get creative, because she didn’t want to rent. The buildings in Ignis were cool, she would agree on that much - the grown metals, crystals, and glass were really cool vibes. She just… wanted something more classic, now that she had finished her revenge spree and was staring down eternity.

The idea of stealing a place was pretty appealing, she couldn’t deny, but after about a decade of hunting on Aerius and Earth, she was coming up pretty low on both fireplaces and houses she liked. However, one night, while complaining on kiptok about it, she had a brilliant idea.

“Wait, can I just transport in building materials?” she asked on a live. “They’re inanimate and I don’t think they would require the same sort of energy expenditure as a whole house, do you guys?”

Comments flooded in, other kipitins responding to her - mostly positive, with a few negatives.

“Like… How much stone do you think it takes to build a house?” she mused out loud. “Oh, and things like plaster… Hmm…” A flaw in her plan occurred to her and she groaned. “Are there even any kips in Ignis who know how to do construction…”

More comments flew, but she cheered at one. “Oh Creator, smokeybaby6969, you are SO right, I could just make some construction workers into kipitins. You’re so smart, I love you. I’m gonna get the fancy house and the fireplace done just how I want, fuck yeah!”

After a while longer, Amber finished her live, and began to draft a plan for how to make this happen. It could be tricky, trying to make someone else into a kipitin, let alone a whole crew of construction workers… But there was sure to be a way to trick them… She could use glamours, lie a little (or a lot)… Maybe she could enlist someone else in it and pretend to save the crew by making it so they could become kipitins… Creator probably would let it slide, right?

Why did satisfying her desire for a fireplace have to be so fucking complicated…
