1. Snowfall
Snorre looked out of the window if his room and saw the world was wrapped in a white blanket. The ground and the trees were covered with a thin layer of snow, and a thick layer of clouds hung in the sky.
As much as he enjoyed the silent serenity of the scenery before him, there was also a deep sadness coming over him. He still hadn't fully given up on his travelling plans - but now he had no choice but accept the unusual situation. He sighed, watching tiny snowflakes falling down like silent rain.
To calm his growing unrest, he decided to take a walk. Thankfully neither Frauke or Momme were up yet, so he didn't need to deny their company.
The snow crunched softly underneath his boots, the only sound he could hear. Everything else around him was quiet. Normally the forest was full all kinds of melodies and noises, but now it seemed as if he was the only living being. There was no rustling in the undergrowth, no distant call of birds in the trees high above. There was only him, and the deadly silence of winter.
He took a deep breath and smiled at the pale grey sky. This was perfect.
