10) Hot Chocolate
Dolly scooped the hot chocolate mix into the mug with a thoughtful gaze. The customer it was for had been horridly rude to one of her girls, and she was contemplating if it would be best served with something special or dumped on his ugly mug.
She didn’t always spike a rude customer’s food with something nasty. It really depended on the type of nasty, her mood, and how long it had been since the last time. (Sometimes she even spiked a nice one’s food, just… for variety…) It had been about five months since the last time she had done it, however, and she felt like she could afford doing it. Stupid bastard thought he could just grab one of her girls’ asses? This was going to be a lot worse for him than kicking him out would be, she knew. Men like him loved their virility - well once she was done with him, he wouldn’t have that anymore. No complaints about the frigid bitches who kicked him out for copping a feel. No, he’d have weeks of feeling bad and malaise before his glow fully dimmed.
She didn’t spike the hot chocolate with very much of her vial of ‘Tears of the Damned’. The original mixture she had gotten, she had painstakingly watered down. Necrosis wouldn’t set in within the typical two weeks, which made it far more difficult for her to be pinpointed as the culprit. From her attention and experiments on more polite customers, including a few regulars, it could take between three weeks and a month for it to hit full effect. She’d done her research well, back when she had wanted to be a potioneer. A spore-cloud could cause instantaneous necrosis with its large quantities of spores, food, potions, and drink prepared directly with blighted mushrooms could cause it in two weeks as could contact with a wound caused by a corrupted dextroluma. Dolly had diluted her mix so heavily that it took the spores a much longer time to reach the quantities needed to truly show the signs of necrosis.
The rest of the kitchen was busy as she poured boiling milk into the mug. No one noticed her drip a single droplet in from the eyedropper bottle in her apron. It added a just slightly grey tinge to the milk - one that was easily covered up as she stirred the hot chocolate. Its rich brown color easily concealed the little bit of the potion she had added.
No one would be the wiser, and he would suffer the consequences of his shitty behavior.
She hoped Morgana relieved him of his balls when he got exiled. (He felt like the kind of loser who would get exiled over taking the cure). It would be exactly what he deserved.
Dolly didn’t even have to fake the smile on her face as she delivered his steaming hot chocolate to his table. She hoped he loved it, because she was certainly going to love imagining what he would be going through.
