13) Sleigh
The air was crisp and cold, and Anahera’s hands were gripped tightly on the blankets over her lap as she gazed at the frigid landscape. The sleigh whisked them across the snowy fields of some strange place. Mommy had told her what it was called, but she couldn't remember anymore, and Mommy had fallen asleep in the warm blankets they had been wrapped up in.
Draphibians pulled the sleigh, running at a steady speed across the frozen landscape. If she hadn't been so excited, she might have been frightened by how wide and open the landscape was - the sky seemed to stretch on as far as the eyes could see, and there was very little in the way of any trees like she was used to... But it was new and exciting and there were so many sleighs carrying all of the stuff to where they were going!
She was definitely getting bored of sitting. The draphibians didn't seem to be running too fast, maybe she could run with them?
Unrolling herself from the blankets was difficult, but when she finally got a hand out and tried to grab the edge of the sleigh, she found she couldn't. Trying to poke her hand out into the air beyond wouldn't work either - something blocked it invisibly. She sunk back into her blankets, pouting. That meant she had to stay in the sleigh. Boring...
At least it was cozy and comfy... Slowly, the motion of the sleigh and the warmth of the blankets helped to lull her to sleep like her mother.
