Prompt | Draven's New Years Resolution !

It's the New Years, people are celebrating! Either by being with loved ones, Having parties, or even setting a New Years Resolution ! Setting a New Year resolution is a great way to reset and focus on what really matters to you, Although Draven won't be celebrating the new year by partying, He's definitely setting himself a resolution and will be spending his time working hard.

Shortly before the new years, Draven and Rikara found themselves taking care of some Marshogs and Cowcaps, Draven quickly realized that he adores Marshogs and wants more of them, He wants a small family of Marshogs, He doesn't have any "productive" intentions with the animals, He simply wants more companions since him and Rikara live so far away from the village, It'd be nice to have some extra souls around even in animal form. Rikara really loves her Cowcaps too, and Draven wants to make her happy by giving her more and giving her a space to take care of them !

Draven's New Years Resolution is to use up the acres of land that he has and make a small farm for the Marshogs and Cowcaps, He needs to build the farm houses so he set out a few months ago collecting those materials, It's been some time and he's put it off but he promised Rikara that he'd start building the farm houses in the new year.

The New Year has come and Draven's set to start building the farmhouses and pens. He needs to start somewhere so he starts with the pens and farm house for Rikara's cowcaps. Draven doesn't have any blueprints or much knowledge of how to build, but hes certainly going to try. He's from the medieval times, He always figures it out.

Draven starts by marking the size of the farmhouse, this day seems to be particularly rainy so he uses this to advantage by using a stick to mark in the mud the size of the farm house, He marks the outside pen, where the feeders will be and then inside, where the cowcaps wil settle for the night. It's a pretty decent size, He makes sure to add a room for materials or other things they may need to help care for the cowcaps. Once hes marked where he wishes the building to be his next step is to start by putting up the four corners of the farmhouse, He doesn't want to change the ground and wants it to be natural so he has to stick the supporting beams deep into the ground to make sure that they stay put during slight and even bad weather. Once he's done that he starts by preparing the walls. Building a farmhouse from scratch is a very time consuming and labering task, Draven ends up building two walls before he needs to rest for the night, But he'll be back full swing the next day.

This was over a few weeks ago, and while Dravens finally built himself the outer walls the construction is still going to take some time to do, Fortuntely with alot of time on his hands and some dedication he should be done within a few months. The construction of the Cowcap farm house is actually taking less time than Draven had antipicated and he may even be able to finish the Marshog farm house this year.

While he's not fully fullfilled his new years resolution, he's definitely put a start to it and that's good enough for him. although he would like to fullfill it.
