Mermaid Form Guidelines
Fins Style and Color
Any fins present in Mermaid Form must match those on a Dextroluma's body outside the transformation. If a Dextroluma has Spiked Fins, then any fins on the mermaid tail must also be Spiked Fins. Additionally, the fins on the mermaid tail must follow the same rules for glow color as the fins on the body would.
Fin Amount
Fins on the lower half of the body (where the tail replaces) may disappear with the Mermaid Transformation. They can also carry over having the same amount of fins on the tail as the legs or more fins can appear during the transformation having more fins on the mermaid tail than the legs.
Tail Color
The body of the tail can either be glow color, skin color, OR a slightly lighter/darker version of either color(s). The hue can not change and drastic color differences will be rejected.
Land Tails
Dextroluma who have tails OUTSIDE of the transformation can either lose or keep their original tails while in Mermaid From.
Tail Shapes
Mermaid Forms are not limited to the standard fish tail most associate with mermaids! Please note that the rules mentioned above must be followed. While it may appear that lobsters and shrimp tails break the rule regarding fin style, the fin-like appendage on their tail is not a true fin and instead is an exoskeleton!
Mermaid Tails can take the appearance of ONE any of the following:
- Standard Fish Tail
- Jellyfish
- Octopus or Squid
- Sting Ray or Manta Ray
- Gator or CrocodileTail (No legs)
- Sea Snake
- Shrimp or Lobster
- Seahorse
NO OTHER TAIL SHAPES ARE ALLOWED AT THE CURRENT TIME
Mutations
There are two mutations for Mermaid Forms that may need some clarification!
- Dextroluma Mermaid Tails do not naturally have scales and would require the Scales mutation to be present. To have scales on the Mermaid Form scales must be present somewhere in their regular form!
- Mixing two tail types (for example a standard fish tail and a jellyfish tail) would require the mutation Interrupted Change
