- Who is the culprit or culprits behind Deja's missing statue?

- How did the culprit steal the statue?
She hired some raccoons from the trash kingdom to steal it and replace it with a paper mache replica she made.
- Why did the culprit steal the statue?
She had already made the replica for a project, but figured it would turn out so much nicer if she could just make an actual cast from the real thing, but she thought there was no way she could get permission. She figured she’d be able to sneak it back before anyone noticed it had been swapped, but the raccoons went rogue and ran off with her replica to use it for their trash castle and things spiralled out of control from there.
- What do the clues mean?
Serena used a bunch of old supplies and trash to scatter around as red herrings to throw the investigation off her trail when she realised the raccoons had betrayed her. They’re not connected at all. She found the fabric scrap on a trip to the swamp, so it belonging to Goolia is a total coincidence. The book and bottle, she found in the trash while looking for the raccoons to scold them, but they weren’t in. The raccoons used the blueprints to get into the castle. She is currently in hiding in Maquette contemplating changing her name and starting a new life off the grid.
