SuldraDrakis sola

Pets

APPEARANCE

Sizewise, most Suldra are range from the size of a small dog to the size of a Draphibian.  Yellow nephian Suldra are the most abundant type, however, Suldra come in a number of different appearances, some of which seem to be influenced by seasons or even by strange magics. HABITAT

Most wild Suldra live in the clouds of Solaris.  They use the golden clouds of their environment as camouflage for hunting various prey species.

Behaviors

Suldra are generally pack creatures, although it's not unheard of to see them living alone, especially for very old Suldra.  For a pet Suldra, that usually means they do best with lots of company - if you have only one Suldra with no other pets, they're liable to be extremely clingy and experience separation anxiety.

DIET

Wild Suldra are primarily carnivores, although like many species on Aerius, they seem to enjoy eating mushrooms.

ROLES

Suldra are primarily predators in their natural environment, although they are prey to some other species.

REPRODUCTION

Eggs.

LIFESPAN

Due to the effects of magic, Suldra owned by another species will live for as long as their owner does. A wild Suldra will typically live between five to thirty years.

CORRUPTION

Suldra can contract necrosis, however, it has been noted that corrupted ones seem to change from their original variety into something unique to their kind, as do cured ones. It is unknown why this is, but it is hypothesized to be an evolutionary adaptation to allow them to survive on a new diet, as corrupted and cured Suldra seem to need different mushrooms from their pure counterparts.
