Teatoise Teaspos poires
Pets

APPEARANCE
Sizewise, most teatoises range from the size of a tiny teapot that could hold only a single cup of tea to the size of a house. Purple striped teatoises are the most abundant type, however, teatoises come in a number of different appearances, some of which seem to be influenced by seasons or even by strange magics. HABITAT
Most teatoises come about from magic infusing a beloved teapot. On occasion, however, a teatoise has been found somewhere no teapots have been known to exist, so they may simply manifest on their own through some unknown mechanism.
Behaviors
Teatoises are primarily known for their pathetically sad faces and heart-rending squeaks and chirps. Less well known is their impact on heating and cooling bills, as their preferred environment for sleeping is a nice hot fire or a warm stovetop burner. They are known to throw impressive tantrums if they lack access to either of their preferred sleeping spots, although some may tolerate cuddling under a blanket.
Although teatoises are incapable of reproduction, some may collect and hoard teacups and treat them in a way organic species consider to be parental.
It is reccommended that smaller teatoise owners have fireproof stairs available for their pet(s) to get off of the stove, and possibly others to get to and from the beds, couches, and other pieces of furniture a teatoise might wish to sit on.
DIET
Teatoises seem to feed primarily on heat and magic. However, they are also known to consume tea leaves, berries, and other forms of vegetation when offered, and may even beg for such foods when their owner is eating them.
ROLES
Teatoises are an inorganic species and have no ecological niche.
REPRODUCTION
Inapplicable. New teatoises are produced from existing teapots or from nothing, with no involvement of any existing teatoises.
LIFESPAN
Teatoises are functionally immortal as long as they do not break. (Even then, a broken teatoise can be repaired so long as most of the parts can be located).
