Toasty Panis ignis

APPEARANCE

Sizewise, most toasties range from the size of a paperback book to an armchair.  Steel gray toasties are the most abundant type, however, toasties come in a number of different appearances, some of which seem to be influenced by seasons or even by strange magics. HABITAT

Most toasties come about from magic infusing a beloved toaster.  On occasion, however, a toasty has been found somewhere no toasters have been known to exist, so they may simply manifest on their own through some unknown mechanism.

Behaviors

Toasties are known for being mischevious and seem to always be getting into something.  They tend to be confused when their owner doesn't allow them to do what they are trying to, and are known to react by angrily popping their toasting mechanism up and down to express their displeasure.

DIET

Toasties seem to feed primarily on heat and magic.  However, they are also known to consume bread, and are not interested in anything that does not involve bread.  (Their definition of 'bread' may be flexible - toasties who beg for pizza, pancakes, and other such foods are common occurrences.)

ROLES

Toasties are an inorganic species and have no ecological niche.

REPRODUCTION

Inapplicable.  New toasties are produced from existing toasters or from nothing, with no involvement of any existing teatoises.

LIFESPAN

Toasties are functionally immortal, and it is very difficult to actually destroy one due to their metal frame.
