Dextroluma-Human War
Functionally, lockettes were a neutral party during the war on Aerius. Some individual lockettes did join human or dextroluma fighters, but no sphere in Maquette chose a side. News covered it with little interest in most of the details - although there was considerable interest when the public learned some dextroluma mages were capable of killing lockettes. After the incident in Dimensa, the public had assumed organic species were simply too weak to truly contend with lockettes. (Of course, they forgot old accounts of wars between lockettes and humans - it is one thing to wantonly tear through a human settlement full of non-combatants and quite another thing to fight their trained fighters who are willing to die to give another human the chance to get a kill).
The war did, though, lead many lockettes to become suspicious of humans, especially when lockettes from segregated towns and villages began to speak out about what had been happening to them.
It is believed human experimenting became more intense during this time, as they noted increasing hostility from lockettes and began to try to prepare.
The war on Aerius concluded, and for a short few years, it seemed as though time could eventually ease tensions in Maquette.
