Mediborgs
Many lockettes tend to mentally lump Medi-Borgs into the label of ‘human’, ‘machine’, or ‘lockette’, when really, they are their own unique species. Laws about the species vary from sphere to sphere, depending on how the laws of each sphere view them. Most of the major spheres have no restrictions on the species or ownership of them. Skelduz, however, is known to confiscate medi-borgs on sight and physically kick their owners out of the sphere. It is generally reported that confiscated medi-borgs are allowed to live otherwise normal lives within Skelduz, whose residents seem to view them as brainwashed lockettes, however some medi-borgs may find the experience distressing.
Lockettes and dexettes typically have little use for medi-borgs trained in anatomy, as they lack organs and bodily functions. However, some therapists, prosthetic makers, or even shell makers may own or hire medi-borgs to work for them.
Most spheres view glitched and toxic medi-borgs as relatively harmless, despite their violent inclinations, since there’s not exactly much they can really do to harm lockettes and dexettes, as they are inorganic. If they are caught harming others within the sphere, they may face prosecution or jailtime, but little attention is paid to them overall.
