Magic
Most Dextroluma have some amount of innate magic. Almost all Dextroluma are able to float in the air due to this, and the ability to do that is rarely lost even when magical reserves are expended.
Basic magic training is done in much the same way anything else is taught in schools or by family. Most schools give at least some basic magic instruction, typically based around healing of small injuries. Universities typically teach more advanced types of magic, such as medical magic, combat magic, nature magic, and enchanting, though that is hardly an exhaustive list of the options.
Some Dextroluma are educated in magic in family traditions instead, usually pertaining to forms of magic that seem to run in the family, such as the creation of constructs from magic or sending messages via dreams.
There are myriad possible ways for magic to work, though there are some natural limits to magic. Mind control, for example, is seen as a ‘fantasy’ magic, because one of magic’s natural limits is that a user is unable to impose their will over that of another individual. Dextroluma who roleplay often joke about the fact that the rules they follow for fun roleplay are based off the limits of magic and how funny it is that ‘no god modding’ come straight from magic itself.
Like any technology, magic requires work and study to develop new applications. Problems cannot simply be solved by just imagining the desired result and having it happen, but require building on the work done by prior practitioners, just like science.
