Religion
Most religions that originate on Aerius involve a practice revolving around veneration to something natural to where the religion originates. (For example, those who lived near beaches tend to have historically venerated the tides, while those deeper in the ocean tended to venerate coral or kelp forests). These religions have never been overly formal, although there have been temples and the concept of sacrifices have been present in some.
In the present day, the most prominent religions on Aerius are based around veneration of the sun and the moon. These religions have their primary temples in Solaris and Lunaris respectively, but many nations do have smaller temples or shrines for their veneration. Most Dextroluma prefer to worship the moon, given that night is the time most are awake and living their lives, but worship of the sun is rather popular in the Great Sea of Sand, the Obsidian Peaks, and the Azure Coast.
These religions are not dominant by any means, nor do they view themselves as in conflict with one another or with most other religions.
Human religions have a miniscule foothold on Aerius. Before the war, some had been seeing growth, but the war prompted many Dextroluma to reject human beliefs they had adopted and seek the answers or comfort they needed in their own cultures. Still, a few did cling to these human religions, and while some Dextroluma may at times be uncomfortable with them for it, they are generally left alone and their places of worship simply given a wide berth.
Lockette religions have some followers on Aerius, but since most religions from Maquette are very focused on their own origins as a species, few organic individuals find much reason to follow any of these religions. There are, nonetheless, a few temples on Aerius dedicated to the Artist, from the varying sects of Artisans, Sculptors, and Crafters.
This author would like to note that there will be a future book with more information on the common religions found on Aerius.
