Here at Florid, you know we love nothing better than an undiscovered gem.  We love even more when those gems get the attention they deserve - and that’s why, each decade, we make our list of the best books from the current one.

We choose three books in each category (except for children’s, where we pick six due to the broad spectrum of work encompassed by that label) based on a number of things - how much they sell, quality of the story, writing skill, and more.  If you want a best-seller’s list, there’s plenty of those out there, this isn’t one, and you’d be better off with a library catalogue if you want something comprehensive.
