Arguments vary on the nation's actual size - the most conservative estimates put it at controlling only the space within Aerius' gravity well, while the most liberal estimates put it in charge of the entire solar system that Aerius belongs to, Selenophos. It's a vast expanse of territory to account for, and the largest nation on Aerius - and some even argue it should be divvied up further, potentially making the moons of Aerius into their own nations. For the present, it is generally treated as encompassing all settlements within Aerius' solar system. In practice... the law doesn't hold much sway beyond the reach of the major orbital stations and moons. Quite frankly, Galactica is much more focused on protecting Aerius from threats than it is on holding sway over its citizens.

Technologically speaking, they are easily the most advanced nation of Aerius. They specialize in 'scientific' technology that does not rely on magic. While magic does still exist here, it tends to be viewed as less reliable. Anyone can operate scientific technology if they're trained, but not everyone can do magic well enough to operate all kinds of magical tech. (Of course, there's arguments both ways - this is simply the prevailing opinion in Galactica). They can seem quite futuristic to dextroluma from other nations, at times, even though their technology is available to other nations - but something about space just makes it seem different to most...

Being in space, the primary thing they import is water. Although every habitat strives to recycle all their liquids as thoroughly as possible, water is necessary for every facet of life, and there are ships created specifically for transporting water up whenever supplies do run low. They also import a great deal of food from Aerius, not only for their own needs but for trade with alien species. (Mushrooms from across Aerius are considered quite the delicacy by a number of species). In return, they export enormous amounts of ores mined from other planets and moons in the nation, technologies negotiated for in trade from aliens, technologies created within Galactica, and more. Additionally, they provide defense to the planet - they are well armed and vigilant about knowing who is coming and going within the space they control and can see. They're pretty much the only nation that has border controls.
