Lunaris (Air Night)

Of course, it's not only Dextroluma who live in Lunaris - it's actually quite popular among other species. Outside of Galactica, it's the one of the best places to find extraterrestrial cuisines and goods - well, besides its sister, Solaris.  That said, not every species thrives well in the eternal night, and doctors on Lunaris are reputed to prescribe more Vitamin D per capita than anywhere else on Aerius.

Lunaris is far more of an importer than an exporter.  Due to their perpetual night, very little besides mushrooms grows on their clouds.  They survive primarily by tourism these days, with their vibrant nightlife scene drawing visitors from worlds away in spite of the sometimes difficult acclimation process to the thinner atmosphere of the clouds.  Not all of Lunaris embraces the party scene - there are different communities on the clouds that trail and precede the capitol of Cumulus - but it is what keeps the nation alive in many regards.

Like Solaris, Lunaris is overall swift to adapt new magical technologies, having found that magical technologies are generally more practical for their environment than scientific technologies.  They're more willing to try to make the scientific technologies work, though, finding unique solutions to adapt them when the technology in question seems worthwhile.  Maybe it's just that the competition among the nightlife for tourists is so intense - anything that might give a club or bar an edge is worth exploring.

Lunaris traditional history states that the original first inhabitants of the clouds believed they had found their way to one of the moons at first, before observing it overhead later.  Even so, the inhabitants developed a strong affinity for the moons and use its names heavily for every resource found there.  Some eras of Lunaris' history also include the worship of the moon, and although this has diminished there are still some temples dedicated to it on outlying clouds beyond the party atmosphere of the main city.
