The Great Abbey
The Heartlands

The Great Abbey has large towers at its corners, but the body of it is long and relatively simple. Beneath that simplicity lies a plaza with a massive loom.
Five figures kneel around the loom, made of a stone no one has ever been able to identify. Large symbols (also stone) float where their heads would be - at the head of the loom, the crescent moon. On one side, a round ball with a flower growing from it and a cyclone. On the other side, a wave and fire.
At the foot of the loom are a pair of deep imprints, similar in size to the measurements of the figures' calves.
Many faithful Artisans, Sculptors, and Crafters visit the Great Abbey each year to see these figures - whom they call the Patrons - in person, and to pay their respects to the Great Loom they believe all saura passes through when entering Maquette.
