The Ventricle River runs from the mountains east of Key through the megacity itself, splitting it in half.
No district has sole control of the river, although the efforts of the residents of the Emerald Cove have seen the river become very clean and beautiful, as other districts prefer to avoid upsetting the Cove.
Some individuals like to live on riverboats, barges, or houseboats along the river, and there are rumors of some even living beneath the river itself.
