Medan

Medan uses floating tethers and slings, depending on the vehicle, to anchor it to their docks and enable it to move with the rotation of the disc without expending fuel (if it uses any).

From Medan, an individual can see numerous magical gates in the skies beyond.  Some seem to be permanent holes into another place, displaying skies that do not match Anchorage's skies - you may see a hole into the night sky during the day, or a green sky in the blue one.

While Medan does have some warehouses, it is much more of a tourist destination.  Visitors enjoy the views of the skies, and the flocks of skylos who soar through them.  They may also enjoy the taste of those same skylos served in restaurants, as well as the Giant Frost Barnacles brought up the elevator from Nave below.
