One of the oldest cities in Lunarimar - which is to say, it is only about three centuries of age - Reef marches from the depths of the Saffron Sea and into the shallows.

The origin of the city was near a reef, and simply took its name from it for simplicity's sake. Now, it is large enough for that reef to simply be confined to one area of the city.

The city generally resembles cities on Aerius, although curiously, many things that should not work underwater will still work within the confines of the city anyways. A wired phone may still receive calls, even if it is not plugged into anything, and a fire may be lit and burn even though there is water around it. Researchers are at a loss for how to explain this phenomenon, especially as it is not true of the entire sphere of Lunarimar, but only of Reef.

There is a great deal of speculation that Reef is its own sphere, due to this, but this has not been able to be proven.
