Eldire Mountains

It is unknown exactly why so many magical plants and animals are native to the Eldire mountains.  There are historical accounts of a cult of sacrifice that once resided in the mountains, but most accounts seem like sensationalist rumors rather than reality.

There are frequent reports of ghosts in the area.  Many individuals who visit, whatever their purpose in venturing here is, describe feeling uneasy at best.  Many lockettes experience spontaneous fragmentation for no discernible reason, and many organic species find themselves wounded.  (An enduring rumor on Aerius is that the Eldire mountains are a 'more badass' way to gain fatal damage than drinking the draught of death).
