Dimensa's answer to the withdrawal of Kagiana's Branch 1 after the Dimensan Civil War, the Tambour Institute educates newly manifested lockettes in the ethics of Dimensa, alongside more traditional subjects.

Critics of the Tambour Institute tend to believe that it teaches lockettes to hate themselves due to the dangers they can pose to organics, particularly humans, and also typically criticize the curriculum as very human-centric. Proponents assert that the purpose of the Institute is not to instill self-loathing, but rather, a sense of responsibility and an understanding of 'the other'.

Attendance at the Tambour Institute is compulsory for newly manifested lockettes within Dimensa, although this can sometimes be difficult to enforce, as lockettes may manifest in odd places. Older lockettes are sometimes also required to attend courses at the institute, typically as part of a plea deal in the legal system for lesser crimes.
