Omma's Ascent

To the underinformed, it may seem odd that a volcano within the Peaks is named for a deific figure that first originated in Solaris.  The more historically astute will, of course, be all too pleased to let the underinformed know of the brief efforts at the onset of the After Unification era to proselytize their religions within other nations.  While they saw little success in most nations, the Obsidian Peaks were more amenable to the tenets of this solar religion, especially in locales that found the dominant religions of their era to be overbearing.

Before this time, Omma's Ascent was known as Cloudspear, and some dextroluma within the Obsidian Peaks do still refer to it in this manner, though it has not been its official name during the lifetime of any living dextroluma for millennia.
