Maquette is the world inhabited by Lockettes, a magical species who inhabit humanoid 'shells'. They have a unique connection to Dextroluma, as sometimes the soul of a Dextroluma is reborn in Maquette as a Dexette.

Maquette is a magical realm that seems to link to many other worlds, foremost among them being Aerius and Earth.  Scientists of all sorts are fascinated by its nature - but they aren't the only Dextroluma who delight in visiting this realm.  Dextroluma tourists are a common sight here, and some even take up residence in parts of Maquette.  One nation in Maquette even specifically welcomes them to do just that, as the nation was founded by Dexettes.

Due to the ease of traversing the known paths or 'doors' between Aerius and Maquette, it isn't difficult for most Dextroluma here to access the mushrooms they need.  Ones who live very close to those pathways may even simply come to do their grocery shopping in Aerius and then take it back home to Maquette - though there are also several businesses that sell them within Maquette themselves.
