Unique Ears

Unique Ears (Admin)

Category: Ear Style
Species: Kipitins

On occasion, a kipitin is created who has ears that are diverge from the standard ones.  They can be different shapes, lack scattering, and even come in different numbers, although they will always come as an even number (2, 4, 6…)

Demon Horns

Demon Horns (Common)

Category: Horn Style
Species: Kipitins

It is often suggested that the concept of demons takes its name from these horns, rather than the other way around, due to the frequency with which it is seen on kipitin.  These horns are generally on the taller side, with a slight angle inwards towards the tips.  The amount of scattering on them varies, but there is always at least some of the horn missing.  Demon horns can only be placed on the forehead/headband area.

All kipitin horns can be made from glass, metal, or crystal, and there is no rarity for any material option.

Sliced Horns

Sliced Horns (Common)

Category: Horn Style
Species: Kipitins

These frequently seen horns typically have a more curved appearance than demon horns, but are most distinctive due to their style of scattering, which always looks as though slices have been taken out of the horn.  The amount of scattering on them varies, but there is always at least one slice missing.  Sliced horns can only be placed on the forehead/headband area.

All kipitin horns can be made from glass, metal, or crystal, and there is no rarity for any material option.

Swirl Horns

Swirl Horns (Common)

Category: Horn Style
Species: Kipitins

These frequently seen horns are sometimes considered to resemble a tornado or smoke in general.  They typically have a base that starts out similarly to demon or sliced horns, but then the shape begins to spiral up, with various pieces scattered apart from each other.  The amount of scattering on them varies, but there is always at least some of the horn missing.  Swirl horns can only be placed on the forehead/headband area.

All kipitin horns can be made from glass, metal, or crystal, and there is no rarity for any material option.

Lyre Horns

Lyre Horns (Common)

Category: Horn Style
Species: Kipitins

These frequently seen horns resemble the shape of a lyre frame.  Their typical scattering often takes the form of missing slices, but it’s not unheard of for them to be differently scattered.  The amount of scattering on them varies, but there is always at least some of the horn missing.  Lyre horns can only be placed on the headband area.

All kipitin horns can be made from glass, metal, or crystal, and there is no rarity for any material option.

Shattered Horns

Shattered Horns (Common)

Category: Horn Style
Species: Kipitins

These are the least intact horn to be regularly seen on kipitins.  Shattered horns usually have a somewhat intact base… but after that, it’s anyone’s guess what the horn shape could have been if it had been intact.  Only tiny shards remain.  The amount of scattering on them varies, but there is never enough to create a shape.  Shattered horns can be placed on any part of the head, minus the face.

All kipitin horns can be made from glass, metal, or crystal, and there is no rarity for any material option.

Ram Horns

Ram Horns (Rare)

Category: Horn Style
Species: Kipitins

Although ram horns are less commonly seen on kipitins, they are considered to be a fairly standard shape.  They can be spread out, like in this example, or more compacted and closer in to the head.  The amount of scattering on them varies, and typically takes the form of slices, but they always have a curve you might see on a ram’s horns.  Ram horns can be placed on any part of the head, minus the face, and can point in any direction.

All kipitin horns can be made from glass, metal, or crystal, and there is no rarity for any material option.

Branched Horns

Branched Horns (Rare)

Category: Horn Style
Species: Kipitins

Branched horns are infrequently seen, but are primarily distinguished by three branches that grow from the horns’ thick base.  These branches are never scattered from the base of the horn and are always connected.  Above them float different little shards of horn - a minimum of three pieces, but it’s not unheard of to see more shards.

All kipitin horns can be made from glass, metal, or crystal, and there is no rarity for any material option.

Forked Horns

Forked Horns (Rare)

Category: Horn Style
Species: Kipitins

Forked horns are rarely seen, but are primarily distinguished by seeming to be more than a pair of horns at first glance.  The bases of the two primary horns grow from the head, splitting into two separate pieces that are never scattered, while two shards float above the head and can easily be mistaken as an extra set of horns.  There is typically additional scattering above the horns, although the exact amount can vary.

All kipitin horns can be made from glass, metal, or crystal, and there is no rarity for any material option.

Skeletal Horns

Skeletal Horns (Rare)

Category: Horn Style
Species: Kipitins

These unusual horns are characterized by a strong base that is abruptly severed from the rest of the horn and a minimum of two long floating shards above the base that may vaguely resemble the position of the tibia and fibula of a humanoid skeleton.  There is typically additional scattering in addition to this, although the amount can vary.

All kipitin horns can be made from glass, metal, or crystal, and there is no rarity for any material option.

Unique Horns

Unique Horns (Admin)

Category: Horn Style
Species: Kipitins

On occasion, a kipitin is created who has horns that are different from the standard ones.  They can be different shapes, lack scattering, and even come in different numbers.  (Some kipitin with this trait may have a singular horn, others may have thirty, for example).

Despite this, their horns are still invariably made from glass, metal, or crystal, and there is no rarity for any material option.

Black Smoke

Black Smoke (Common)

Category: Smoke
Species: Kipitins

Most kipitins have smoke that is a gradient from black to the color of their pupils.

Any Color Smoke

Any Color Smoke (Rare)

Category: Smoke
Species: Kipitins

Some kipitins have smoke colors that do not fit the typical combination of a gradient from black to the color of their pupils.  Some may have white smoke in place of the black, others may have three or more colors in their smoke or even patterns.

Standard Smoke Form

Standard Smoke Form (Common)

Category: Smoke
Species: Kipitins

All kipitins can take a smoke demon form if they wish to, and they are impervious to harm while in this form.  (They can still be dealt with magically to some degree in it, however, just not harmed).

Most kipitins have a form that has a cloud of smoke where the feet would be, narrow legs that bend backwards, and a somewhat horizontally elongated body when viewed from the side.  They will have their symbol, which can be seen somewhere on their body, on the forehead of their smoke form.

Additionally, the smoke form retains the color of the kipitin’s smoke, though not necessarily in the same order.  The smoke form will also have the kipitin’s ears and horns present, and their colors may change to match the smoke form.

The smoke demon form is not necessary for approvals, it will be assumed their smoke demon form is the standard type if they are submitted without one.

All kipitins can take a smoke demon form if they wish to, and they are impervious to harm while in this form.  (They can still be dealt with magically to some degree in it, however, just not harmed).

Some kipitins have a form that differs from the typical one.  All sorts of shapes have been seen - frogs, rabbits, jeans, even fried chicken.  It is unknown what causes a kipitin to have a different smoke shape.

Additionally, the smoke form retains the color of the kipitin’s smoke, though not necessarily in the same order.  The smoke form does not have to have the kipitin’s ears and horns present.  If it does, however, their colors may change to match the smoke form.

Partial Smoke Transformation

Partial Smoke Transformation (Admin)

Category: Smoke
Species: Kipitins

While all kipitins can take a smoke form and all have smoke present over where their feet would be, some can go even further, able to transform specific parts of their body into smoke without changing the rest.  Smoking eyes, smoking hands, even smoking wings - all are possible!

Fatal Damage

Fatal Damage (Mutation)

Category: Add-Ons
Species: Dextroluma

Some Dextroluma possess an unnerving ability to survive things that should  have killed them.  From eye sockets that don’t need support to prevent collapse to surviving decapitation to being skinned to having limbs they can attach and reattach at will or not having their organs…  Some Dextroluma are simply built different!

Extra Limbs

Extra Limbs (Mutation)

Category: Add-Ons
Species: Dextroluma

This mutation occurs naturally only, it cannot appear over time. There is no limit to how many limbs can be featured on a Dextroluma, however additional torsos cannot be added - you have to work with the typical humanoid shape.  All the following options can be placed anywhere on the body, not only where they would naturally grow from - this includes limbs, hands, feet, facial features, genitalia, breasts, even heads.

[Note that if a ref of a child-aged Dextroluma includes this trait, you MAY NOT depict extra genitalia or your reference will be rejected and you will receive a warning.]

Crystal Growth

Crystal Growth (Mutation)

Category: Add-Ons
Species: Dextroluma

Crystal Overgrowth can affect any Dextroluma.  While it commonly grows through wounds in the skin, it can easily grow over body parts, covering or even destroying eyes, legs, and more.  Most Dextroluma will try to keep their crystals under control by removing them from the body if they become uncomfortable, but it can flare out of control unpredictably.  Crystals can be ANY COLOR and do not need to match the glow color(s).

Floral Growth

Floral Growth (Mutation)

Category: Add-Ons
Species: Dextroluma

Flower Overgrowth can, at a glance, seem similar to the final stage of Necrosis (the 5th Stage) or to the Swamp Region’s Moss Growth.  Of course, it is quite different.  Only flowers and small leafy plants can grow from Flower Overgrowth - no mushrooms, vines, or moss.  Like Crystal Overgrowth, it commonly grows through wounds in the skin.  It can easily grow over body parts, covering or even destroying eyes, legs, and more.  Most Dextroluma will try to keep their flowers under control by removing them from the body if they become uncomfortable and pruning regularly, but it can flare out of control unpredictably.  Flowers and plants can be ANY COLOR and do not need to match the glow color(s) or natural colors.
